Longer days, slower mornings, and the undeniable urge to curl up somewhere outside with a really good book (or let's be honest, stay up way too late finishing one)... summer has a way of giving us permission to slow down, and we are here for it.

At Haven Hair Salon, we believe the best version of you is also the most nourished version, heart, mind, and hair included. This month, we're blending two of our favorite things: great summer reads and great summer hair.

📚 What We're Reading This Summer

Our team has been swapping beach bag recommendations, and here's what's making the rounds:

• Rock Paper Scissors, by Alice Feeney: twisty, unsettling, and impossible to put down. "You will not see that ending coming!" (We warned you. 😳)

• Buy Back Your Time, by Dan Martell: because summer is also the perfect season to reset how you spend your most valuable resource. This read hits different when you're sitting still long enough to actually hear/read it.

• The Darkest Sin, by Sheridan Anne: dark, romantic, and addictive. The kind of book that makes you look up and realize two hours have passed. You're welcome.

🌊 Your Hair This Summer

While your mind is escaping into a great story, your hair is out here facing the real elements of humidity, sunshine, chlorine, and saltwater. A few things we're recommending this season:

• Hydration is everything! Sun exposure depletes moisture fast, so don't hesitate to ask your stylist about a conditioning treatment to keep your hair resilient all season.

• Protect before you swim! A little leave-in conditioner before the pool or ocean goes a long way.

• Book that trim! Summer is the season split ends love most so a fresh cut keeps things healthy and light, just like the season calls for.
